FROM THE ISLANDS TO EUROPE

Isaac Pérez Riera (Ibiza,1995) started his violin studies in his home town at the age of 7, finishing there with a honorable mention for his work.

In 2014 he continued his bachelor studies in Mallorca with Jose Manuel Álvarez Losada and Vicente Balaguer. During those years, Isaac fell in love with chamber music and orchestral music, playing with the Conservatory Orchestra, the Symphonic Orchestra from Balearic Islands and  at the Deià International Music Festival. 

In 2018, he was accepted at HKU Utrechts Conservatorium (Netherlands) to continue his violin master studies with Carla Leurs, student of Itzhak Perlman.

In June 2020, despite the Covid19 crisis, Isaac was able to play his final master recital, receiving excellent comments on his sound, musicality and energy.

During those years he worked a lot in chamber music and orchestral music. With other colleges of the Conservatory, he created the Alban Kwartet, having regular lessons with Viola de Hoog (Schönberg Quartet) and Sebastian Koloski (Utrecht String Quartet) and he entered several orchestras like the Neue Philarmonie München or the NJO (National Youth Orchestra of the Netherlands).

Fervent passionate about Spanish music, Isaac has been awarded a scholarship on several occasions for the Spanish music courses "Música en Compostela", where he studied with maestro Agustín León Ara and was awarded in 2019 with the prize "Premio Fundación Victoria y Joaquín Rodrigo"
